Something awesome happens when you abandon fear and go for your dreams. It doesn’t happen overnight and it’s not always easy. But when I decided to go all in with my blog and stop viewing it as a hobby, things started happening. My followers dramatically increased beyond just my “friends”, my social media presence grew and continues to do so, and I am meeting amazing people at every turn who open up opportunities I wasn’t even looking for. Nat, creator of Suburban Misfit Mom falls into that last category.

We traded some messages on Twitter a while back which led to a skype call to get to know each other and see if there was a fit to potentially collaborate. I realized pretty quickly (like 15 seconds into the convo), that she’s like the Connecticut version of me. We traded war stories about being “stuck in suburbia” and discussed how we could work together.

That led to a bevy of emails and another Facetime call where she offered me a home on Suburban Misfit Mom and I said Hell to the Yeah!

So in addition to Whine & Cheez(its) and my monthly column in Lifestyle Mag, I will also be a contributor for SMM, and hope you guys will check it out!

My first article just went live and I’m excited about what’s to come. You can see the full story here.
