Back in the day when I first started writing about motherhood and life, my goal was to make it on Scary Mommy. It was the gold standard for “mommy bloggers” and for many of us, helped launched our careers and credibility as writers.
After about a dozen rejections, I made it. It was my first ever article published outside the confines of my own blog and I was elated.
Now, almost a decade later, the powerhouse creator who started that site , @jillsmokler , has a new venture and I’m fucking honored to have a piece in the very first installment of @shesgotissuesmedia . This feels like a full circle moment and I’m reveling in it today.
